Beatrice And The Blue Door

Hello Bloggers, How are you?

Two days ago I write a narrative. It is called Beatrice And The Blue Door. It about a girl called Beatrice and her mother Kate. It is not completed but if you like it I'll do a chapter 2.
This narrative took me around 40 minutes to write and about 5 or 10 minutes to plan.
Here is my narrative, I hope you enjoy reading it :)

Once upon a time, a young girl named Beatrice lived in a forest with her mother Kate. Beatrice’s father once went hunting when Beatrice was 5 for dinner, No one knows what happened to him. But she had one thing to remember him with. A necklace, made with silver and a pearl at the front. She was told to never take it off by her father. One day she heard a roar. It was a bear. This happens every few months. A bear comes. It is a brown bear. At least it is not a black bear because they wanna fight. So we get under our beds. Shut the windows and the curtains and lock the doors tight. Kate always tells Beatrice to stay calm if something like this happens. So she reads a book.As soon as she opens it, a small piece of paper drops out. It says ‘’ Blue Door’’. She puts the piece of paper in her pocket and doesn’t think much of it.  She holds her necklace tight a she keeps her eyes closed.

Suddenly she has millions of gold glowing doors. All of the handels have a different colour. She sees a blue knob. Her fathers voice keeps ringing in her head. She looks at the paper. On the back it said ‘’From Dad’’. She ran to the door and opened it quickly. In their was, her memories on a screen with her dad. After the film finished she looked behind the tv to see her dad tied up with ropes. ‘’Oh my god’ She undid the knots and the tape other his mouth and saw that her necklace was gone. That wasn’t her father that was a trap....

  1. Hi Lucy, It's Mia here. Wow! I really liked your story, I liked the way that you created tension in the story making me wanting to read more. I found that the story had some really good ideas and imagination in it.

This reminds me of a book I read called Bloodtree Chronicles. It was about how Abigail, the main character, got stuck inside the story world and had a locket that could time travel. Abigail had gotten it from her dad. It's kind-of similar to your story. Did you have something that inspired you to write this?

To improve, maybe you could try adding in some descriptive language, like similes, metaphors, personification and more. It will make sure story more interesting. Also, you could try to add it in a slideshow.

    Great work!
    Mia

    1. Hi Mia,

Thanks so much for the comment :)

No all the idea kind-of went in my head when I started writing but Bloodtree Chronicles sounds like a cool book. Next time I go to the school libary I might read it.

I think I will edit it and add in the description, Thanks for the tip.

      Kind Regards

      From Lucy!

  6. Hi everyone,

I just realised that some of the words in the story are a size bigger. I have tried to change it but it just stays the same.

    So Sorry :(
